Music and Galilee

 Music is an integral part of worship at Galilee Christian Church. From hymns to handbells, music has the ability to touch our lives in a unique way. The Galilee Christian Church Adult Choir is a volunteer ensemble that contributes to worship each Sunday in a variety of ways. The choir supports congregational singing along with piano, organ, and a variety other instruments. Just as importantly, the choir performs special music every other week including classical anthems, contemporary Christian praise songs, standard hymns of the faith, spirituals, and many other styles. The choir performs two major programs each year for Christmas and Easter, usually with full orchestra. There is no audition to be a part of the GCC Adult Choir and no restrictions on age or level of ability. We have singers from age 16 to…..seasoned veterans! We have singers who are trained musicians and singers who don’t read music at all. We have singers who have recorded solo albums and singers who are soloists in their own shower stalls! If you love music, love God, and want to contribute to worship at Galilee, you are invited to join the GCC Adult Choir. Our choir rehearses each Sunday afternoon from 4:30 – 6:00 and our first rehearsal of our new fall season will be held on Sunday, September 11. Anyone is welcome to attend and “check us out!” GCC’s choir is directed by Miles Adams, a Jackson County native who has moonlighted for the past 29 years as Band Director for Jackson County Comprehensive High School.
