Choir Ministry Enhances GCC Worship Life

The Galilee Christian Church Choir

This is a dynamic group of singers who contribute to worship by performing a variety of musical styles. Our choir sings traditional hymns, classical choral literature, contemporary praise choruses, and spirituals. We perform with piano accompaniment, rhythm section, full orchestra, and acapella.

The choir is open to anyone of any ability level - we have trained singers, we have singers who don’t read music, and we have lots of singers in between! More important than our musical ability is our desire to make a joyful noise, enjoy working on music together, and contribute to the worship experience at Galilee. Rehearsals begin each fall on the Sunday after Labor Day and continue through May. The choir rehearses weekly on Sunday afternoons from 4:30 – 6:00.

We have some great music to sing this year for Sunday worship services and two special programs planned for Christmas and Easter. The Christmas program will include several pieces with full orchestra, one with marimba, and one with bass guitar and African percussion instruments!
